The OUTMemphis Community has 3 garden beds on the property. The vegetables grown in this garden directly support the food needs of our Community Center's food programs. We are looking for Volunteer support to run and maintain the Community Center Vegetable Garden throughout the Spring and Summer. You can contribute to the garden in several ways: donate seeds/starter plants, tilling, pruning, harvesting fruit, weeding, fertilizing, watering, and other garden chores as they arise. The Community Center can provide general gardening equipment, but you are welcome to bring your own. Volunteers for the Community Garden can contribute as much or as little as they like! This role is flexible, and if you’re interested in volunteering but need hours outside of the listed shift, please reach out so we can coordinate another time that works for you. If there are any special tools, supplies, or items you think may be needed for the garden, please let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly! If you have questions or would like to discuss alternative volunteer times, please email Christian Mays at cmays@outmemphis.org. Thank you for helping us grow a healthier, more connected community!

OUTMemphis is partnering with Shower Up, a mobile shower organization that provides clean, private, hot showers to anyone that wants one! Right now in Memphis, thousands of people don’t have access to something as simple and essential as a private, clean, hot shower. ShowerUp provides mobile shower units and hygiene support to help meet that need. When someone feels clean, supported, and cared for, it can be the first step towards positive change. This is a recurring volunteer opportunity on Friday's, and we’re inviting our community to come together to help make it possible by: • Assisting with light clean-up • Passing out hygiene items • Welcoming guests and helping with sign-in Join us in creating a space where everyone feels dignity, safety, and belonging!
