OUTMemphis
The Youth Empowerment Center has 2 raised garden beds. The vegetables grown in this garden directly support the food needs of our Emergency Housing Residents. We are looking for Volunteer support to run and maintain the YEC Vegetable Garden throughout the Spring and Summer. You can contribute to the garden in several ways: donate seeds/starter plants, tilling, pruning, harvesting fruit, weeding, fertilizing, watering, and other garden chores as they arise. The YEC can provide general gardening equipment, but you are welcome to bring your own. Volunteer for the YEC Garden can contribute as much or as little as they like! If you have any questions about this Volunteer Role or it's needs, please email Fran Houseton (she/her) YEC Operations Manager, fhouseton@outmemphis.org
