OUTMemphis
The Community Center's Hot Meal Program serves hot meals once a week for anyone in need of meal. Volunteers can support this program in one of two ways: 1. Assisting Staff with Hot Meal - Community Center Programs Staff is responsible for cooking the meal on Thursday nights. You would be responsible for assisting the CC staff member in cooking and serving the meal. This shift would include light set up, and clean up after the meal. There is nothing for you to prepare or bring with you if you're assisting staff. 2. Providing the Meal via TakeOut - Volunteers who want to support but cannot cook or assist in the meal can also provide the meal via takeout. You would order the meal from a local restaurant of your choice, and deliver it or have it delivered to the Community Center. You would coordinate directly with the Community Center Coordinator or Health and Wellness Specialist for this option. If you have any questions, please email Phoenix Powell (he/him) ppowell@outmemphis.org or Christian Mays (he/him) cmays@outmemphis.org
