The Youth Empowerment Center's Hot Meal Program serves hot meals twice a week for YEC residents, program participants and any other LGBTQ+ visitors to the YEC. Volunteers can support this program in one of three ways: 1. Cooking the Hot Meal - This would be inclusive of providing all needed groceries and any specialty utensils. The YEC can provide basic appliances (glass top stove, oven, microwave, small air fryer, toaster, blender) pots, pans, mixing bowls, serving utensils, flatware and cutlery. You would just be responsible for assisting the YEC staff member in cooking and serving the meal. This shift would include light set up, and clean up after the meal.
